Optimizing Your Page/TGP for Search Engines
A Thumbnail Gallery Post or TGP is a website which has a list of thumbnail galleries posted by participating webmasters on the Internet. The pages of a website are accessible from a general root URL or the homepage. The URLs of the pages are arranged into a hierarchy though a hyperlink found between which controls how the reader perceives the overall structure.
TGP’s are an exceptional means for generating limitless traffic, because they are prevalent with surfers who know them to be a good resource. There are various ways to optimize your page for search engine or SE. You can have a keyword target with every page which means that each page will go after one or maybe even two words. Then, you can also create a site map. But note that all SE’s have very complicated robots which can detect keyword stuffing and lead to getting ban.
Optimizing for SE’s should be considered even before the work for the site starts and not as an after-thought. Foremost you should have the name of the site chosen which includes a good search term for the specific niche you’re site is focused on making sure that the title is located at the top of the page in bold font size.
Once you are through with your site be sure to get various good links. Search engines like Google are almost always judged by who is link to you which serve like a vote to your particular site. This means that the more number of votes your site has, the more important Google thinks your site is.
In order to have success in this link building anchor text should be king. This means that if you sell pills, you would like people to link you with pills or buy pills as the anchor text telling Google that this site is about pills. As of the moment this is the most important characteristic of SE ranking.
You can try getting links from sites which does not have 10,000 links. Link dumps would be a nice start but competitively they are not at all helpful. On the other hand, a site with 100 links gives only 10% of what a site with 10 links gives. Although having many links will make Google devalue immediately the particular link.
Also, you can create a links page for link trading but note that it is not advisable to name it links.html since Google devalues that. One option is naming it friends.html or resources.html, or however you want to call these links. However having more than 50 links on a page is not advisable; it is recommended that you create a 2nd or 3rd links page.
Keep in mind that it is helpful to add alt tags to each graphic found on the site. The alt tags contained in every site is unreadable in SE’s and most assign a lesser relevancy to the words that can be seen in alt tags but those particular words are still important.
Optimizing for SE’s is particularly hard since it is time consuming and slows you down. Patience is needed to optimize carefully and effectively but will be worth it in the long run.
